The Gongwang Art Museum is one of the most recent designs of famed Chinese architect Wang Shu, who became the first Chinese to win the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2012. The museum is erected along rivers in the Fuchun Mountains in East China’s Fuyang, Hangzhou city, where legendary painter Huang Gongwang (1269 -1354), of the Yuan Dynasty, lived and finished his masterpiece scroll painting Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains. Lines of the museum’s roofs echo the ridges of mountains in the back, forming a harmonious picture that seems to recreate the beauty of the ancient scroll painting.

One Lujiazui (Shanghai Time Financial Center), previously known as Development Tower, is a skyscraper in Shanghai, China. It is the 9th tallest building in Shanghai. Finished in 2008, the tower stands 269 metres tall. The glass highrise’s primary use is as an office building, though it also offers over 6,000 m² residential space. The National University of Singapore, designed by MKPL Architects & Sasaki, has developed a vision for the NUS campus vision based on eight central design goals: 1) create a strong sense of belonging with a special focus on student life; 2) create a memorable sense of arrival and public domain; 3) involve Kent Ridge as part of the student life experience; 4) foster campus connectivity; 5) respond to context, climate, topography, heritage buildings and Asian culture; 6) integrate sustainability; 7) program adaptation needs promote student-staff interaction; and 8) progressively plan the feasible development phases, with short-term (5 years) transformation projects. 13,000 m² of bamboo dasso ceiling was installed in 2013.

Microsoft China headquarters put forward the concept of green office space, and all the veneering of more than 3,000 desks were changed into dasso bamboo material with strict requirements: panel weight should be only half-ton per cubic meter, while the original weight of one cubic meter bamboo is 0.6-0.8 tons. Also, it was required that when more than 90 kilograms of heavy objects are located, subsiding rate should not exceed 0.8%; when the heavy objects were removed, the panel should recover to its original form without fracture. dasso chose cellular panel, thus controlling the weight pre-unit volume, while giving full play to the bamboo characteristics of stability.

Shandong theatre is designed by Paul Andreu who design the China Natioanl Theatre. Shandong Grand Theatre is consisting of three hall, Opera Hall, Music Hall, and Performance Hall. The curved forms of lobbies and sky lobbies treatment with micro-perforated bamboo panels, mounted in front of black absorbing finish, with high grade of fireproofing and sound absorption.

The large-scale use of natural products in areas exposed to extreme weather is a brave thing, and how to keep the 12,000 m² product stable without distortion, cracking or blackening is a key issue. Fortunately, dassoCTECH series products have been taken these issues into consideration during the development stage. Dasso group aims to improve the stability of natural outdoor products, and propel great changes in the outdoor application of natural material – bamboo.

Modern Moma Beijing has already been chosen by Time magazine as one of the ten largest buildings in the world in 2007. It is designed by American architect Steven Holl. The “dassoELEMENTS” decorative products present in the room give a sense of space to the roaming thanks to its old bamboo texture. “DassoELEMENTS”, which contrasts with the skyscraper’s exterior view of the city, helps people escape from the oppression of the concrete jungle and enter a “free man” atmosphere that is both vast and unbridled.
